Youth bites off man's ear in fight over smartphone and money

Agra: A youth bit off a man's ear in a fight after the victim took away the smartphone bought by the accused from money borrowed by him.
The incident took place late night on Saturday in Tedi Baghia area of Itmad-ud-daula area.
Identified as Sanju, the victim had lend Rs 750 to his neighbor Raj Kumar . On Saturday, the 24-year-old accused again came to Sanju and asked him to lend Rs 200 for urgent the work, but Sanju asked him to first pay the earlier amount borrowed from him.
Expressing his inability to pay at the time, Raj sought more time, but Sanju denied and took away his smartphone as guarantee.
Infuriated over this act, Raj engaged in a heated argument and later he bite off Sanju's left ear leaving him bleeding profusely. Later Sanju relatives, barged inside Raj's home and allegedly assaulted his family members including his brothers Jitendar, Dharmendar and father Tej vir.
After the bloody scuffle, the men of two groups went to police station and filed written complaint against each other. The police sent the injured men to hospital more medical examination.
Speaking to TOI, Raguraj Singh, station officer of Itmad-ud-daula, said, “We had detained the men of both the groups and are probing the matter. The FIR will be written once we received the medical reports of all the injured men in the incident.”
