SIT arrests 2 more for IUML worker K Aslam's murder

KOZHIKODE: The Special Investigation Team, that has been probing the murder of IUML worker K Aslam, on Sunday, arrested two more accused. According to police, one of those arrested on Sunday has direct involvement in the crime.
Those arrested by the police are Ambalathum Thazhekkuni Shaji (34) and Kunhiparambath Rajeevan (46). According to police Rajeevan was the driver of the Innova Car during the time of the murder. It was Rajeevan who knocked down Aslam's two wheeler, the police said.
On the other hand, Shaji, who is also a relative of slain DYFI leader C K Shibin, is accused of criminal conspiracy.
According to police he was tracking the movement of Aslam and updated the assailant gang about Aslam's movement.
