One dead four injured in hit and run case

Agra: One morning jogger was killed and four others were critically injured early on Sunday morning when a speeding Alto car hit them on Baldeo Road .
The five men, all of them Army aspirants, were jogging at around 5:30 am when the incident took place. The vehicle rammed into them, killing one of the men on the spot. The driver sped away immeditely.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Vikas, a resident of Bana village. Vikas’s father is an armyman and is currently posted on the Jammu & Kahsmir border. The injured are also from the same village. They have been identified as Lokesh, Bholi, Sushil, Pappu, Sanjeet and Govinda and their condition is said to be critical.
According to their statement, the car had a Delhi registration number and was speeding on the road from Baldeo towards Raya. The driver overtook another car which is when the vehicle hit the group of joggers.
Circle Officer (Mahavan), Surendra Singh, said that while they know the make of the car, no one apparently noted it’s registration number. He said a case has been registered and investigations are in progress.
