He was the original Khan who dwarfed the silver screen with his presence. Handsome, suave with a rakish tilt to his personality, was a man' man who bowled many a maiden over back in his day. He was also lucky to get many memorable songs in his kitty. Here's looking at some of them...

Jaag dile deewana

Film: Oonche Log (1965)
Music : Chitragupta
Singer : Mohammed Rafi

This must be one of the most romantic songs ever sung by Mohammed Rafi. A young man gets up early morning to be with his beloved. His heart is full of anticipation, of longing and that comes through in the song as a soft caress.

Darpan ko dekha

Film : Upasana (1971)
Music : Kalyanji-Anandji
Singer : Mukesh

Mukesh's voice suited Feroz Khan to a T. In the present song, it brought out both the pathos and the depth of his feelings towards Mumtaz.

Tum mile pyar se

Film : Apradh (1972)
Music : Kalyanji-Anandji
Singers: Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle

Shot in picturesque European waterfront, this song symbolises all that Feroz Khan's ventures stood for — stunning visuals, an oomphlicios leading lady in Mumtaz and chsrtbursting music. Their chemistry sizzled like crazy. Apradh is one film that should be remade pronto but where  will we find another Feroz or Mumtaz?

Tumne kisise kabhi pyar kiya hai

Film : Dharmatma (1975)
Music : Kalyanji-Anandji
Singers : Mukesh, Kanchan

It's one of those sad romantic songs that you never tire of listening to again and again. The song has Feroz reminiscing about lost love as Rekha slowly falls in love with him.

Kya dekhte ho

Film : Qurbani (1980)
Music: Kalyanji-Anandji
Singers : Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi

You see a dashing Feroz expressing his love to Zeenat Aman oozing sensuality and you wonder how they are able to pour out all that sexuality with clothes on. It's a lost art, surely.

Har kisi ko nahi milta

Film : Jaanbaaz (1986)
Music : Kalyanji-Anandji
Singers : Sadhana Sargam, Manhar Udhas

What can be more seductive than Sridevi swaying seductively by the sea-side wearing a chiffon saree. Feroz sure knew how to steam up a song sequence alright.
