Here's a roundup of some of the important entertainment stories from the week gone by.

Last week in Showbiz was filled with excitement and some sadness as well. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trailer released and fans of its lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan lapped it up. The first trailer of the Karan Johar directorial was well received. The new promo of Salman Khan’s television show Bigg Boss 10 also released, while Amitabh Bachchan remained in the news for his film Pink. Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Fawad Khan also remained in the news for the wrong reasons or because something wrong was said about them by people. Here’s how. Also, Priyanka Chopra remained in the buzz for her show Quantico 2 that premieres on September 25 on ABC, Sonakshi Sinha has moved on from the flop of Akira to her new film Force 2.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trailer launched

And finally, the trailer of the most awaited film in the end of 2016 released. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil teaser had already made us fall in love with it, and also the title song Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the song Bulleya. So, it was a given that we will love the trailer in any case. The  Karan Johar directorial starring heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Fawad Khan and beautiful ladies Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made us realise how an entire new romantic story can be told on screen. Fawad Khan, go back!

We as normal fans fell in love with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil teaser, trailer and songs and also his pairing with Anushka Sharma. But Fawad Khan and other Pakistani artistes working in India had to bear the brunt of the rage of fans and detractors alike as also politicians after the Uri attacks in India, which were attributed to Pakistan. The proxy attacks of Pakistan continue to this day and so several fans expressed anger over seeing Fawad Khan in the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trailer. Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya ranted over Twitter over why Pakistani artistes are given a chance by filmmakers like Karan Johar and actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, calling them dalals or pimps! Also, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) political party ensured that all Pakistani artistes leave India, while Karan Johar has reacted to the situation by saying that a ban on Pakistani artistes is no solution to terrorism. We agree.

Kajol joins Facebook!

Well, not only did our most loved ‘actress’ and not diva join Facebook officially, but also visited the headquarters of Mark Zuckerberg’s social networking company! She was accompanied by her husband, actor-director Ajay Devgn and together they promoted Shivaay, their latest film that releases on the same day as Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Read about it here.

Wedding bells for Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Swashbuckling cricketer Yuvraj Singh who has battled cancer as well as career politics to come out a winner, is finally looking at settling down and finding some peace. Yuvraj is all set to get married to fiancee Hazel Keech, who was seen on Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss and is a Bollywood actress. The couple will get married in December 2016. Bigg Boss 10 new promo

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 10 will be telecast beginning October 2016 and the promo No. 3 has just released. After being seen as an astronaut and a wrestler (like in his blockbuster film Sultan), in the new promo of Bigg Boss 10, Salman Khan has taken on the avatar of explorer Indiana Jones. Take a look at it here. This time on Bigg Boss, there will be fewer celebrity contestants, as commoners will be part of the show on Colors. Meanwhile, speculations are on whether Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will promote Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on Bigg Boss 10, as Salman Khan is her ex-boyfriend! He is also the ex-boyfriend of Katrina Kaif who is now the ex of Ranbir Kapoor! Too complicated?

Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie divorce

Another one bites the dust? Well, we don’t really wish to put it that way. This was the other bit of sad news in the week gone by. Hollywood’s power couple comprising Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are separating! Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt citing irreconcilable differences and the two will fight for the kids’ custody. While there were rumours that Brad Pitt abused the children, there is no complaint against him. Brad Pitt has hired Charlie Sheen’s divorce lawyer for the custody battle, say reports. The actor’s ex Jennifer Aniston has simply termed the current situation as karma. Ouch!

Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico 2 is here!

Our best import to the West, Priyanka Chopra revealed an intense, hot kissing scene from Quantico 2, her hit television show in the US. Quantico‘s first season also had a hot romance between Priyanka Chopra and Jake McLaughlin. Watch the new kiss here! Quantico 2 premieres tonight on ABC.
