Odisha displays its unique food products at Annapoorna Summit in Mumbai

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Organic turmeric, sun dried chillies and natural processed mango products were some of the items that the Directorate of Horticulture of Odisha displayed at the Annapoorna Summit 'World of Food 2016 International Expo and Conference' which was held recently in Mumbai. With the coordination of the Odisha Investment and Export Promotion Office (OIEPO), the state also exhibited products like processed and organic spices, pasta, noodles, squash, pickles, tamarind concentrate at the expo. According to Odisha government officials here, as many as five entrepreneurs -- Jay Bharat Spices Pvt ltd, Magma Foods Private Limited, Kandhmal Apex spices Association for Marketing, Divya Multigrain Pvt Ltd, Gram Tarang Foods Pvt -- selected by MSME Department participated with their products and received good response on the opening day of the event on September 22. Moreover, the OIEPO had also arranged B2B meetings for all the participants from Odisha to give the participants an opportunity to develop their business network. This was a continuous endeavour of the OIEPO to bring all the stakeholders of food processing sector in the state under one roof and maximise the scope of the state’s products in the national as well as international market, they said. The OIEPO in the office of the Chief Resident Commissioner in New Delhi coordinated the participation in the 11th edition of Annapoorna world of food 2016 with the support from Department of Agriculture, MSME and Department of Industries of the Odisha government, officials added. The event was a B2B platform for the Indian food & beverage market, organised by Koelnmesse Y A Tradefair Pvt Ltd and Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
