ALLAHABAD: With only a few days remaining for 'Ravan Baraat' (Ravan's marriage) procession at old Katra locality, a team of officials inspected the locality here on Saturday. The route through which the procession is to pass was found to be littered with garbage, roads were dotted with potholes and at several places street lights were missing.
Residents met mayor Abhilasha Gupta, who was leading the team, and complained of garbage piled in their locality and of broken tiles covering the drains.

"Over a kilometre road leading from Manmohan Park to Laxmi Talkies was found to be damaged from one side. It is not understandable as to how the procession will pass through the route," the officials said. The mayor said, complaints of the residents about the littered waste and accumulated water at several places would be redressed within next two days.
