Bokaro: The warden of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School (KGGRS) was suspended on Saturday after an inquiry team, constituted by DC Rai Mahimapat Ray, found her negligence had caused the death of a Class IX student. Earlier in the day, a three-member was formed to probe the death.
The team headed by city magistrate, Menka Kumari, visited the KGGRS and recorded the statements of students, teachers, warden and guard in this connection.
The team also visited the room when the student ,Urmila Kumari, used to stay.
The report stated that the warden had delayed in taking Urmila to the hospital after she had complained of stomach pain and giddiness two days ago. The warden took her to the primary health centre on Friday where she was administered medicines. However, on Friday night, the girl complained of breathing problem, following which she was rushed to Bokaro General Hospital but she died on the way.
Doctors declared her brought deadThe DC said the inquiry has been set up to ascertain the cause of death of the girl. Urmila was the daughter of Jagarnath Rajwar, a resident of Ghaghri under Chandankyari Block.
The body has been handed over to her parents after postmortem, said Mahip Kumar Singh, district education officer.
