South Carolina TE failed to hurdle defender

South Carolina Gamecocks tight end Hayden Hurst (81) leaps over Kentucky Wildcats cornerback Chris Westry (21) in the second half at Commonwealth Stadium. Kentucky defeated South Carolina 17-10.

South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst attempted to hurdle Kentucky's Chris Westry. This is how that went.

Westry actually grabbed Hurst, then had him in the air for a moment before slamming him to the ground. Ouch.

I'm sure this is how Hurst saw this happening in his head - like how Lamar Jackson flew over the defense.

Sometimes life doesn't work out like you planned it. Sometimes you get slammed to the ground.

The good news is that Hurst can try again another day. The bad news is his failed hurdle attempt probably isn't making him feel any better after South Carolina went on to lose to Kentucky, 17-10.
