AJMER: The designated ST/SC court on Saturday awarded life sentence to two accused for killing a Dalit woman and chopping her legs for stealing her silver anklets. The court also gave three years' sentence to the man who purchased the anklets.
Mooli Devi, resident of Sawansar village of Gandhinagar police station, Kishangarh, on July 21 went to work at a construction site.

On her way, Saddam alais Jeetu and Parkesh Dariga, residents of Madangarh area in Kishangarh, came and took her along on their motorcycle on the pretext of providing her some work.
They took the woman to an isolated place and killed her. They took away her silver anklets by cutting her legs and also her silver earrings, leaving the body there.
Later, police recovered the body. Police nabbed the two accused for killing the woman. During investigation, they found that Sadam and Parkesh had sold the ornaments to one Ramavatar, who was running an ornament shop in Kishangarh, and arrested him.
The prosecution produced the witnesses and the ornaments in the court to prove murder charge against Saddam (22), Parkesh (26) and Ramavatar (24).
"The court ordered life sentence to Saddam and Parkesh while three years' term to Ramavatar," said Hemraj Rathore, special prosecutor.
