    Brad Pitt reportedly told friends Angelina Jolie is "crazy" but he "still loves" her.

    The 52-year-old actor attempted to save his marriage to the 41-year-old star, who filed for divorce from him on Monday (19.09.16), citing irreconcilable differences, by offering to go into therapy, and is now determined to fight claims about his parenting.


    According to The Sun newspaper, the 'Fury' actor reportedly told

    friends: "She's crazy, but I still love her."

    It has been claimed Angelina filed for divorce due to her concerns about how Brad parented the kids, as well as worrying he has an anger problem and indulges too heavily in alcohol and marijuana consumption.

    Brad is now said to be "lawyering up" to fight claims about his parenting and to battle the 'Tomb Raider' star for custody if necessary after she put together a "hit team".

    Angelina has asked for physical custody of the pair's six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, but has asked that Brad gets visitation rights.

    The actress' godmother Jade Dixon claims Angelina split from Brad for the "safety" of their kids.

    She said: "As much as she loves Brad, she will always put the children first and their safety if there is some issue like that. If nothing else to get his attention to get help.

    "Good lord, tons of people go into treatment programmes and get help.

    This is a wake-up call for him. Maybe it will shake him up."

    It comes as pictures have emerged of the pair appearing to have a dispute at Legoland in Windsor, south east England, last October.

    A witness said the pair were "stern-faced" and "didn't look happy".

    Brad is said to have also been disappointed that Angelina's former political advisers told her to axe security staff who had worked with him for nearly 20 years.

    The pair's agents are said to be in talks about releasing a joint statement about their split.

    Brad is said to be "devastated" about the divorce and was keen to ensure it didn't play out in the spotlight.

    An insider recently said: "He is emotionally torn. Right now, he is devastated. He still loved Angelina and would have preferred they fight to make the marriage work. He was willing to do whatever it took to save the marriage and didn't know Angelina had already given up on it.

    "He has wanted to protect the children. He didn't want it to play out publicly."
