Schools in Mysuru district will remain closed from October 3 to 17 as part of the Dasara holidays.

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep told reporters that the State government has agreed to the district administration’s request to reschedule the holidays.

The State government had declared mid-term holidays from October 9 to 23. But as students and teachers participate in the Dasara festivities, which will be held from October 1 to 10, the holidays were rescheduled.

Schools will reopen on October 18, said a communication from the government to the Deputy Commissioner. The rescheduled holidays apply to all government and aided schools in the district.
