Orientation for Swachh Mangaluru phase 3

The Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaluru, which had successfully organised the 40-week Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan in 2015-16, is geared up to launch the third phase of the drive on October 2.

A release from the mutt here said the drive was taken up on a special request from the Union government and became a success following the support and cooperation of all the stakeholders.

The Mutt said about 50 teams have been formed in different parts of Mangaluru to carry on the drive during the third phase wherein at least 500 cleanliness drives will be organised in 2016-17. It has organised an orientation programme for the participants on Sunday.

Mutt president Swami Jitakamananda, Mayor Harinath, Nitte University Chancellor N. Vinay Hegde, J.R. Lobo, MLA, and others will attend the programme.
