One killed in road accident

A 26-year old youth died after his sports bike slipped and fell into a trench near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) check post on Saturday evening. Deshveer Singh,a resident of Rajendranagar was coming from Srisailam Highway along with his friend Ramakanth when the accident took place at 5.30 p.m., said the Rajendranagar police.

While Deshveer died on the spot, his friend Ramakanth Reddy sustained serious injuries and was admitted in Apollo hospital near the RGIA. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital’s mortuary, said the police. No case was registered as Deshveer’s family did not approach the police till Saturday night, said the official.

Labourer dies

A labourer who fell from an under construction building at Banjara Hills, Road No. 2, three days ago died on Friday night. Ramesh, the deceased, was inspecting the work with a contractor when both accidentally fell a floor below from the ninth floor. Both were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital in critical conditions.
