Man murders brother, sister-in-law in Haridwar

DEHRADUN: After being caught stealing money from his house, a man murdered his brother and sister-in-law in Ranipur area of Haridwar district on Saturday.
Police acted swiftly in the matter and arrested the accused.
Shehzad Ahmed (32), his wife Ruksana (30), his four children and brother Sartaj used to stay in a house in Dadupur village.
According to police, Shehzad caught Sartaj stealing Rs 50,000 on Friday night which later led to a verbal spat between the two.However, the matter was settled after some senior villagers and relatives intervened.
Later in the night, Sartaj repeatedly stabbed his brother and his wife Ruksana. He also tried to harm Shehzad’s children but the locals entered the house and rescued the minors.
