Cardiologist to receive award

Dr. P. Ramesh Babu, Managing Director and Chief Cardiologist of Ramesh Hospitals, Vijayawada, will be presented the Outstanding Person of the Year Award in World Heart Day celebrations being organised by the Kurnool Heart Foundation, in Kurnool on September 25.

A.P. Legislative Council Chairman A. Chakrapani will be chief guest. IGP of Rayalaseema Zone N. Sridhar Rao, DIG of Kurnool Range B.V. Ramana Kumar and District Collector Ch. Vijayamohan will attend the celebrations at Sunayana auditorium in Kurnool Collectorate on Sunday, Foundation’s founder-secretary P. Chandrasekhar told the media on Friday.

Dr. Ramesh Babu, who is the secretary of Cardiological Society of India A.P. Chapter, would deliver a keynote address on “Golden hour concept to save human life.”

Former defence scientist and author Arun Tiwari, a close aide of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and film actor Sai Kumar would be the guests of honour, he added.
