ANU award to The Hindu Lensman

Acharya Nagarjuna University will honour The Hindu Senior Special News Photographer Ch. V.S. Vijaya Bhaskhara Rao with Pratibha puraskaram as part of its 39th and 40th foundation day celebrations.

University Registrar K. John Paul said that the university would organise the celebrations on September 30 wherein the pratibha puraskarams would be handed over by Vice-Chancellor A. Rajendraprasad. The university selected Mr. Vijayabhaskara Rao in recognition of his services in the field of photography.

The puraskarams would be given in the fields of science and technology, arts, photography, literature and social service.

The university will also honour G. Radhakrishna Murthy (Social Service), M.V.R.K. Mutyalu (Social Service, Education), B. Srinivasa Rao (Agriculture), Dr.T.V. Ramana Rao (Science and Technology), MP John Dr. B. Venkateswarlu (Literature), Ch.Vincent Paul (Health and Sciences), Dr. D.N. Rao (Yoga), B. Ranga Nayaki (dance) and T. Vijaykanth (music).Ch.V.A.S.S. Prasad (Agriculture), Challa Balatripura Sundari (dance), Dr. Raju Iyer (medicine), Dr. P. Sambasiva Rao (education), T.Satyanarayana Reddy (arts), T. Pattabhiram, Dr.Gali Subba Rao, Dr. V. Nagaraja Lakshmi (literature), K. Krishnamraju (mimicry), T.V.Krishnasubba Rao (sculpture)and D.Vasanta Kumari (Social Service).
