Puttur lad to represent Karnataka at senior national aquatic championship

MANGALURU: Puttur lad will represent Team Karnataka at senior national aquatic championship to be held in Ranchi from September 25.
Vaishnav Hegde, 18, first year degree students at St.Philomina College, Puttur, will represent Team Karnataka in the prestigious 70th Glenmark Senior National Aquatic Championship being held between September 25 and 28 at Ranchi. He will be participating in 50 metres and 100 metres breast stroke, 50 metres freestyle, 4×50 metres mixed relay and 4×50 metres mixed freestyle relay.
On Sunday, Vaishnav will be racing in lane number five along with Indian Olympian Sandeep Sejwal for the 50 metres breast stroke.
Deeksha Ramesh also from Puttur will be participating in the 4×50 metres mixed relay and 4×50 mixed free style relay at the event in Ranchi. Interested may watch performance of Vaishnav and Deeksha live on https://youtu.be/ULKYT9EAWa8 from September 25.
Vaishnav Hegde and Deeksha are members of Puttur Aquatic club and are trained by Partha Varanashi, Vasanth Kumar and Niroop G R at Balawana Swimming Pool. Deeksha is also a first year degree student at St.Philomina College.
