Tributes have been paid to a "much loved son, brother and uncle" who died in a two-car crash in Reading.

Aaron White, 27, was driving a Citroen that hit the central reservation of the A33 at the Rose Kiln Lane junction early on Wednesday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a 20-year-old man driving a BMW was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

In a statement his family said he always had "a smile on his face".

'My heart is broken'

The statement continued: "He would light up the darkest days with his smile and banter. Aaron was a much loved son, brother and uncle, who always looked out for his family."

Mr White's mother said: "My heart is broken and I haven't got my rock to help me through the good and bad times.

"I feel numb, I don't know what to do without my boy, I need a hug."

Police said they believed the Citroen had been stolen from outside an address in Waterside Gardens.

A spokesman said a few minutes prior to the crash it was seen at an address in Symeon Place and at that point there were two people in the vehicle.
