Chong Wei, Chan-Goh reach semis of Japan Open

In the match played at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, The world number one subdued Shi Yuqi of China in 21-12 and 21-12.

The Rio Olympics singles silver medallist will next face Marc Zwiebler of Germany.

Also making it to the semi-finals were mixed doubles pair Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying.
