The makers of
Dodmane Hudga are leaving no stone unturned to project it as a landmark film. It is the 25th film of
Puneeth Rajkumar as a lead actor and is set for a September 30 release.
As part of the film's promotion, cutouts of Puneeth from at least six of his previous films will also be on display. All major theatres in Benglauru will sport these cutouts.
Also on display will be cutouts of the actor's parents - Rajkumar and Parvathamma.
The cutouts, which are hand-painted by veteran artists, may first come up in Prasanna theatre in the city, sources said.
Dodmane Hudga, directed by Suri, also stars Radhika Pandit,
Ambareesh, Sumalatha, Bharathi and
Vishnuvardhan among others. The film recently got a certificate from the
Central Board of Film Certification, but the uncertainty over the Cauvery water dispute resulted in the film being postponed by a week.
PrasannaPramod theatre has been the venue of many special cutouts and promotional ideas of films.Ravichandran had put up a three-dimensional cutout of his film Ekangi there.
