Apart from other things like Fawad Khan’s sexy looks and the melodic music of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, if there is something that people are looking forward to in the film then it is Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sizzling chemistry. Be it their lustful restaurant scene from the song Bulleya or their passionate intimate scenes, their age difference doesn’t seem to come in their way. Don’t know in the film, but there is a 9-years age gap between them in real life, that’s other thing that Aishwarya’s doesn’t let us realize that. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within,” said Karan while speaking about the film in an interview with a leading daily. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which in English means matters of the heart are difficult, is one of those films which not only boast of its complicated story line but also celebrates “older woman-younger man” relationship. I mean they have not discounted on the ‘love making scenes’ in the film just because a middle-aged woman is a part of it. And kudos to the Bachchan Bahu, Aishwarya for not only taking up such a role at this stage of her career but also doing justice to it.

You will be surprised to know that Ranbir Kapoor’s tryst with romancing older woman didn’t begin with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He has done it in the past, maybe not as explicitly as this one but yes. I know the first film that would have come to your mind after reading this would be Wake Up Sid as the age difference was quite apparent there. In the film, five-years age difference is shown between them but in real life she is just three years older to Ranbir.

Sarah Thompson Kane, who plays Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest in the film, is actually three years older to the actor in real life.

Okay this is surprising but Nargis Fakhri is three years older to Ranbir in real life.

Madhuri Dixit in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
