'Don't give, offer with love; only then will people take it'

AHMEDABAD: "Ayam nijah paro veti, Gananaa laghu chetasm, Udaara Charitaa naam tu, Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" - by giving, you can turn the whole Earth into a family. That was the essence of the presentation of guruji G Narayana, a management advisor and inspiring motivator who uses Indian wisdom.
Speaking on the penultimate day of the 9-day discourse at the 24th AMA Week, on "Caring & Sharing for Fulfillment in Life", Narayana said: "The giving habit is a fantastic habit."
Then Narayana clarified: "Don't give.Offer. Only then people will take it. Teach kids to share. Sharing is prasad ." When you give, offer only what you would love others to offer you. So no second-rate stuff should be given.
"What counts is how you give not how much," Narayana said. "Sharing lessens 'para dukha'." Human personality comprises tan, mann, gyan, and daan. Sharing occurs in different phases. Share love; and share your experiences and insights. It was noted from the Gita: "Devaan bhaavaya taanena, Te devaa bhavayantu vah, Parasparam bhaavayantah, Shreyam paramavaapsyatah" [Let the divine bless you when you help others and make you reap the best and you in turn are bound to live well]. "Sharing is the basis of all human endeavors as it sustains you," Narayana said.
