Vanzara files discharge plea in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case

AHMEDABAD: Retired DIG D G Vanzara, accused in the 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case, has sought discharge in the case from a Mumbai CBI court.
anzara, who also faces murder charge in Ishrat Jahan encounter case, has urged the court to discharge him mainly on the ground of parity with other accused particularly SP Rajkumar Pandian who was alleged to have played a larger role in the murders of Sheikh, his wife Kauserbi and Tulsiram Prajapati in 2006.Pandian was recently discharged.
