St Xavier's school celebrates founder's day

Amidst peals of laughter and air of festivity, St Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh celebrated its 33rd Founder's Day on the eve of the birthday of founder Andrew J Gosain.

CHANDIGARH: Amidst peals of laughter and air of festivity, St Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh celebrated its 33rd Founder's Day on the eve of the birthday of founder Andrew J Gosain.
Senior vice principal Chandan S Patwal emphasized the achievements of the founder contribution to the world of education and how he had helped in igniting the minds of millions.
The English choir wished the chairman and founder a happy birthday and presented a contemporary song.
Classes II and III presented a poetic recital on Shakespeare's Seven Stage and enthralled the audience.
Classes IV, V and VI presented a musical play on Pied Piper. To pay a tribute to national heroes, tiny tots of nursery, KG and class I presented a choreography.
A fusion of Bharatnatyam and Lambada was presented by students of classes VII, VIII and IX,.
A Hindi play, "Maa Ki Mamta", was presented by seniors students. Andrews urged students to have respect for their parents, especially their mothers.
Principal Mervin West lauded the efforts of the staff and students who had put up such a beautiful show.
