In Mohali, two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths snatched gold chain of a Phase 11 resident on Friday.

The incident happened at 7.30 pm near Commando Complex in Phase II. The victim, Priyanka, reported that she was attacked by motorcycle-borne youths. The victim told the police that she was on her way back home with her son when the miscreants came from behind and snatched her gold chain.

Both the accused were wearing helmets and the victim failed to note down the registration number of the vehicle. A case of assault or criminal force in attempt to commit theft of property carried by a person and punishment for theft was registered under sections 356 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code.
