Registering as Delhi govt contractors: Scrapping of minimum experience proposed, says Manish Sisodia

He urged the industry to join hands with the government to get fresh engineering graduates registered as contractors with the government.

The Delhi government has proposed to do away with the minimum experience condition for registering as government contractor in civic agencies, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said Friday.

“Government of Delhi is proposing to do away with minimum threshold experience limit for registering as a government contractor, which will be a big boost to start-ups,” Sisodia told a gathering of investors while attending the 5th Invest North 2016 meet organised by CII. He added initially this was being done for civic work and would be expanded. He urged the industry to join hands with the government to get fresh engineering graduates registered as contractors with the government.
