A 34-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly followed two teen girls into Dufferin TTC Station and sexually assaulted them.

According to police, a man was hanging around Dufferin Mall on Sept. 1 when he saw two 16-year-old girls and followed them into Dufferin subway station.

Police allege that the suspect sexually assaulted both girls as they waited for a train on the westbound subway platform.

In an effort to identity a suspect, police released security camera images of a man on Wednesday.

In a news release Friday, investigators said a suspect had been arrested in connection with the case.

Toronto resident Richard Ingram has been charged with three counts of sexual assault.

He was scheduled to make an appearance in court sometime this morning.

Anyone with information about the investigation is being asked to call police at 416-808-1100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
