G etting a homely feel at a restaurant is not always easy. As one walks into ‘Blow’, the welcoming bright blue logo, cosy chairs and cushions make one feel that they haven’t really left home. Bustling with a young crowd, the restaurant mostly sees customers spending time with their friends or colleagues.

With a large board-like menu, the restaurant offers an interesting array of dishes for guests to choose from. One can try the ‘Nachos Ultimate’ which has crispy fried tortilla chips with Mexican beans and cheese sauce served with spiced insalata, sour cream and guacamole. However, it’s best to not keep them for too long on the plate as the sauces added can make the chips soggy. The ‘Hummus’ is made with chickpeas and tahini paste with a drizzle of olive oil, garnished with olives, dusted with paprika and served with fresh pita bread. It’s a good starter for anyone who likes Middle Eastern flavours.

One can also enjoy taco savouries like ‘Taco Pescodillas’ and ‘Taco Tinga Polo’. The tacos are crunchy and a tad bit salty but well combined with the flavours of the filling. The ‘Caesar salad’ is also a good option as it has crisp Romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, herbed croutons and parmesan cheese.

As for the burgers, the patties are well-cooked and sit well with the other accompaniments. The ‘Herbs Park’ is a juicy burger with a vegetable patty, herbs, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers and pickled cucumbers that are toasted in a wholewheat bun and aioli. One can enjoy this with the French fries and dip that comes along with it.

The ‘Sante Fe burger’, ‘Greek burger’ and ‘Pulled chicken burger’ are also recommended.

The restaurant even offers steaks that one can choose from. It also has breakfast options like ‘Our Breakfast Classics’, ‘Cereal Killer’, waffles and crepes that can be enjoyed any time of the day.

For those who like the Asian touch, they can enjoy ‘Make your own Oriental wok’ that has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. It’s an interesting way to play around with your food and have some fun with your friends as well.

Though the espresso bar has an interesting range of caffeine drinks to choose from, it’s the smoothies and the milkshakes like ‘Nutella smoothie’, ‘Litchi overload’ and ‘Oreo smoothie’ that are top notch.

‘Blow’ is located at 42, Church Street. For details, call 49653044.
