Kolkata police seize 600 duplicate ‘Lux Cozi’ products from market, hawker held

A hawker named Kushal Das was arrested for selling the duplicate products from Khanna crossing.

The enforcement branch of Kolkata police seized around 600 duplicate products being sold under the name of a garment brand while raiding a market at Khanna crossing on Thursday.

“On receiving a complaint from Lux Cozi, a case was initiated on Wednesday. Based on information from our sources, we conducted a raid at Harisaha Haat and seized around 600 fake products bearing the Lux Cozi brand name,” said a senior police officer.

Sources said that Lux Cozi had received information from local customers that duplicate products were available in the market under their brand name, following which they conducted surveys that confirmed this was happening. They then submitted a complaint to the enforcement branch. Sources said that hawkers in the area were selling duplicate innerwear at the same price as the branded product.
