Jilted lover stabbed on running train

Ara: One Manish Kumar, who was stabbed in Vikramshila Express between Mugalsarai and Buxar, over an alleged love affair, has been admitted to Ara sadar hospital on Friday.
Talking to TOI, railway DSP AS Thakur said, “Our initial investigation reveals that a girl, who is a student of MSc second year at an agriculture college in Naini, previously studied at Bhubaneswar.While studying in a college in Bhuvaneshwar, the girl had developed friendship with Manish, a BTech. But later when she came to Allahabad, she got into a relationship with one Ankit Dwivedi, who works in the technical cell of the Air Force at Pratapgarh. Manish then started to blackmail the girl and also threatened to put her photographs on social sites. He also asked the girl to meet him at Mugalsarai where he assured her to delete her photos with him. When Manish met the girl in coach no-S 7 of Vikramshila Express, she was with Ankit. The girl alleged that Manish started to misbehave with her and after a heated argument between them, Ankit stabbed Manish.”
“Manish is now stable and is out of danger,” said the police officer.
Though no FIR has been lodged in this connection till the time of filing this report, the DSP said an FIR will be lodged on the statement of RPF SI.
