In a statement here, the RSS ideologue said, "It may be said that this wave owes its inspiration to the renaissance leaders like Sree Narayana Guru and Chattampi Swamikal and of-course at the national level like Swami Vivekananda.""There have been Hindu upsurge on previous occasions also. But most of them were reactionary in response to anti-national forces. But the present one is genuinely positive. It is spearheaded by RSS, but BJP (not exactly a political wing of the RSS -- It has none) largely stands to benefit from this wave. One noticeable feature is the present upsurge has not created any adverse reaction in the non-Hindu communities in the State. They have looked at it rather positively," he said.
