Salt Lake City – Overstock.com has appointed a former Walmart executive to head its demand fulfillment operations.
Vidya Jwala joins as svp of demand fulfillment, charged with leading sourcing, merchandising, supply chain and customer care for the online retailer.
He was previously with Walmart, where he served as vp of merchandising and operations, focused on merchandising planning, category management, pricing and costing. Prior to that he Jwala held leadership roles at the Tractor Supply Company, Lowe’s Companies, Inc. and Jo-Ann Stores.
“Vidya brings the knowledge and data-driven approach needed to scale our sourcing and supply chain efforts,” said Saum Noursalehi, Overstock president.
