Hero Bautista's missing ex-girlfriend last seen in Libis

Quezon City Councilor Hero Bautista's missing former girlfriend was last seen September 12 in the city's Libis district, according to security camera footage.

GMA 7 news program "24 Oras" reported on Friday that the CCTV footage of Rio April Santos-Choi was taken around 8:43 p.m., as she parked her car at a fast-food chain at the corner of C5 and Green Meadows Drive.

Choi entered the fast-food chain around 8:51 p.m. and sat down. After talking on her mobile phone for several minutes, she exited the restaurant and walked away.

"So naghahanap pa rin tayo kung makakakita tayo ng ibang footages sa ibang CCTV nearby. Gusto natin malaman kung... what happened pagpunta niya doon kung sino lumapit sa kanya o mineet niya," said Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director PS/Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar.

Meanwhile, Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) have processed Choi's Maroon Mercedes Benz, inside of which they recovered =drug paraphernalia.

"Reportedly, meron siyang involvement sa drugs at nakita naman natin sa sasakyan niya ay meron ding mga drug paraphernalia," Eleazar said.

However, the missing victim's mother Emiliana did not believe her daughter was connected to illegal drugs.

The SOCO are still going through Choi's car, looking for evidence, such as fingerprints, which may shed light on the investigation.

The polices are also trying to identify a certain "major" that the missing victim was supposed to meet that night. — John Ted Cordero/DVM, GMA News
