Hello and welcome to the first Twenty20 International between Pakistan and West Indies at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. World champions West Indies will be without their world cup-winning skipper Darren Sammy, nor will they have the services of the destructive Jamaican opener - Chris Gayle. It will be interesting to see how they square up against the unpredictable Pakistan.

Pakistan (From): Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed(w/c), Imad Wasim, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Rumman Raees, Saad Nasim

West Indies (From): Johnson Charles, Evin Lewis, Marlon Samuels, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Carlos Brathwaite(c), Andre Fletcher(w), Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Jerome Taylor, Kesrick Williams, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Chadwick Walton

Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan skipper, won the toss and elected to field against West Indies. "The dew factor could come in later and we would look to restrict them. We know these conditions pretty well. We are very excited and our morale is very high after beating England. Mohammed Amir is out and Mohammed Nawaz comes in for him. Umar Akmal comes into the side as well," he said at the toss.

West Indies: Evin Lewis, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher(w), Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Carlos Brathwaite(c), Sunil Narine, Jerome Taylor, Samuel Badree

Pakistan: Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed(w/c), Umar Akmal, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali

Pakistan struck early as Evin Lewis's slog sweep off Imad Wasim landed safely in the hands of the deep mid wicket fielder. It has been a go-to shot for Lewis for long. But this one results in his downfall.

Left arm spinner Imad Wasim has used his Caribbean Premier League experience to good use as he has run through the West Indies top order. AFter dismissing Evin Lewis the first over, he has scalped the wickets of Andre Fletcher and Marlon Samuels in a spce of three deliveries in his second over to leave West Indies reeling.

Imad Wasim's carnage continues with the ball as he sends back Johnson Charles and reduces West Indies to 17 for 4.

Hasan Ali joins the party by dismissing Nicholas Pooran and leave the West Indies top order back in the pavilion in less than six overs. Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo are resurrecting the West Indian innings.

After bagging four wickets off his first three overs in his first spell, Imad Wasim returned to bowl his final over, and reduced West Indies by one more wicket, of skipper Carlos Brathwaite. To compound matters for the visitors, Sunil Narine is also run out. Dwayne Bravo, who is unbeaten at the other end, is the only batsman to reach double figures in West Indies' innings.

Dwayne Bravo and Jerome Taylor have rescued West Indies with some counter-aggressive batting, putting on a half century stand for the ninth wicket. Even as the team's run rate is less than six runs an over, they wouldn't want to fret at the moment. Dubai has been a low-scoring ground traditionally

Dwayne Bravo has brought all his experience to good use as he leads West Indies' recovery with a fine half century. He reaches the landmark with a trademark six over the deep cover region.

West Indies are bowled out for 115 in 19.5 overs. The mammoth ninth wicket stand came to an end after Jerome Taylor was bowled by a yorker, coming round the wicket. Dwayne Bravo departs after a superb innings off the penultimate ball of the innings to fold up West Indies' innings. The score isn't much, but they would be happy with there covery. West Indies have the services of two quality spinners in Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree.

Pakistan are off to a steady start, even as they lost opener Sharjeel Khan early. They haven't encountered much trouble in shot-making. West Indies bowlers too haven't bothered them much.

Khalid Latif and Babar Azam are going along smoothly in the chase. They need 36 runs off 54 balls to win the match with nine wickets in hand.

Two boundaries off the first two balls of the 15th over is all it took for Pakistan to finish off the formalities. Babar Azam, in the process, went on to notch up his maiden Twenty20 International half century. The hosts have won by nine wickets and taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
