If you've watched the just-released trailer of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, you too are probably tripping on the ghazal used in it. In that scene in the trailer where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor explain the words of the ghazal Mujhse Pehli Si Mohabbat Mere Mehboob Na Maang to a visibly-snubbed Anushka Sharma.

Karan Johar's decision to use the Faiz Ahmed Faiz's ghazal is a welcome one. After all, Gen X is hardly acquainted with ghazals given that Bollywood seldom does anything to revive them except passing mentions.
