The human rights watchdog on Friday received a compalint stating that the District Forest Office and security personnel demolished the buildings of Radio Dhading 106 megahertz at Nilkantha Municipality-8 and a building housing women security office where there were a 4-month-old infant, six helpless women and five staffers.
The NHRC has dispatched a probe team towards the incident site for investigation.
In a press statement on Friday, the NHRC urged the government to make necessary arrangements for immediate resumption of radio service and relocate the displaced women and infant to a safer place.
