Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment to the posts of 104 Junior Engineer (Civil) on the temporary regular basis. The candidates who are eligible for the posts should read the complete advertisement to know the important dates, eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, age limit, selection procedure, how to apply, application procedure and other details. Eligible candidate should apply through the prescribed format before September 30.
The willing and interested candidates are required to Diploma in Civil Engineerin g (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above. Diploma in Civil Engineering (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above. The selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in written exam and interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Sikkim PSC Recruitment 2016
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18-30 years as on 31-07-2016. Age relaxation is applicable to 35 years for Bhutia – Lepcha, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes (Limboo – Tamang), Primitive Tribe, 34 years for Backward Classes (Central List), 33 years for Backward Classes (State List) & other candidates is applicable as per rules. The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to Bhutia – Lepcha, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes (Limboo – Tamang), Primitive Tribe is 35 years, Other Backward Classes (Central List) is 34 years and Other Backward Classes (State List) is 33 vide Notification No. M(135)/12/GEN/DOP dated 27th May, 2015.
The upper age limit is relaxed upto 50 (fifty) years for the purpose of recruitment in Government service under the State of Sikkim in respect of the persons working in Group ‘B’, ‘C’, & ‘D’ category on temporary basis (muster Roll/Adhoc /Substitute / Contract/ Workcharged etc.) under the State/Central Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Private Educational Institutes viz. Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim University, Vinayak Mission University established in the State, Private Companies established in Sikkim under Companies Act, 1956 and in various State/Central Government projects / programmes under implementation in the State vide Notification No. M(3)/PartIII/28/GEN/DOP dated 4th August, 2015.
Educational Qualification: The interested aspirants should possess Diploma in Civil Engineering (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above. Diploma in Civil Engineering (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above. (ii) In accordance with Notification No: 44/GEN/DOP dt: 27.10.2015 candidates who are in the final/semester of the prescribed course shall be accepted provided such candidates have cleared all the previous semesters at the time of submission of applications and subject to submission of the final year results on or before the date specified by the Sikkim Public Service Commission before interview. Non-submission of the proof of essential educational qualification by prescribed date shall make the application of such candidates liable to be rejected without assigning any reason thereof.

About Sikkim PSC: The Sikkim Public Service Commission has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The Commission consists of a Chairman and one Member. The terms and conditions of service of Chairman and Members of the Commission are governed by the Sikkim Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1983.The Commission is serviced by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary supported by officers and staff.The Sikkim Public Service Commission have been entrusted with the following duties and role under the Constitution. Under the Constitution one of the functions of the Commission is to conduct examinations for appointment to Civil Services/Posts of the State.
