State-level kabaddi tournament from November 12

MANGALURU: Swastik Friends Club, Punjalkatte, Bantwal taluk, will organize a two-day state-level floodlit Koti Chennayya gold medal Kabaddi tournament for men in open and 60-kg category at Bangle ground, Punjalkatte from November 12. The Kabaddi event is in continuation of various sports events that the club has been organizing over the years with the sole idea of fostering communal amity, noted M Thungappa Bangera, founder president of the club.
Winning team in the open category will be awarded with Rs 50, 000, Koti Chenayya award and a gold medal; runners up will get Rs 30,000 and Koti Chenayya trophy; third place winners will get Rs 20,000 and Koti Chenayya trophy; and fourth place winners will be awarded with Rs 10,000 and the trophy.
