The victims of ASI Mohan Reddy and Lok Satta Karimnagar district unit have demanded that the Government invoke PD (preventive detention) Act against the tainted cop for the smooth conduct of inquiry into his illegal financial businesses.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, the ASI victims association president M. Mahender Reddy, and Lok Satta district president N. Srinivas alleged that Mohan Reddy, arrested and lodged in jail over the suicide of a victim Chada Narayana Reddy, was spending several crores of rupees to come out on bail and again target all the victims for lodging complaints against his illegal activities.

“Several victims of Mohan Reddy would be forced to commit suicide like Chada Narayana Reddy unable to bear his torture if the tainted cop is again released on bail”, they feared and urged the Government to ensure the cop remained in the jail for the transparent conduct of inquiry into his illegal financial business and how he amassed huge.

They also urged the Government to arrest the family members of Mohan Reddy also like the slain gangster Nayeem’s family for thorough inquiry into his terror tactics.

Appealing to the Special Investigation team (SIT) constituted to probe into Nayeem’s illegal activities, they urged the SIT to expose the links between Nayeem and Mohan Reddy. They also further sought CBI inquiry.
