Lawyers’ stir continues in Kaithal

KAITHAL: Lawyers continue to strike work in pursuance of their demand to transfer the deputy commissioner and the sub divisional magistrate.

Lawyers continue to strike work in pursuance of their demand to transfer the deputy commissioner and the sub divisional magistrate. Eleven women lawyers staged a dharna and observed fast today. They said the strike would continue till their demands were met. Lawyers have boycotted revenue courts since September 6. Meanwhile, a delegation of advocates met Rajat Gautam, chairman, Punjab and Haryana Bar Council in Chandigarh to apprised him about their grievances. Ashok Gautam, president, DBA, said they also met AG Baldev Mahajan, who had been assigned the task to resolve the matter. OC
