CHENNAI: Car racer Vikash Anand, who was arrested for rash driving and negligence leading to the death of an auto driver and injuries to 10 others, was admitted at the Government Royapettah Hospital for chronic stomach pain on Wednesday.
Vikash Anand and his friend Charan Kumar, arrested under the charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, were remanded in Puzhal prison.
On Wednesday, Vikash Anand complained to prison officials of stomach pain. The doctors at the prison hospital examined him and referred him to Royapettah hospital. He has been admitted in the prisoner's ward. Doctors are carrying out some tests to diagnose the problem. Police said, he might stay at the hospital for acouple of days until the doctors declare him stable. Vikash and Charan were driving the Porsche reportedly at a speed of 140km per hour when the vehicle hit a median on Monday. tnn
