After a night of rioting over the death of Keith Lamont Scott, who was killed by Police Officer Brentley Vinson, the Charlotte Hornets team store was heavily looted.
Photos emerged of the official Hornets’ team store with completely shattered windows and what appears to be emptied shelves and racks.

The rioting occurred through the night, with heavy amounts of looting and destruction. Tear gas was used to disperse large crowds and at least one person was shot and killed.
The violence touched off shortly after Scott was killed.
Police say they arrived at an apartment complex to search for a man with an outstanding warrant. When they arrived, Scott, who is black, exited a vehicle while holding a gun. Police say they ordered Scott to drop the gun, but Scott allegedly refused to do so. Vinson, who is also black, then shot and killed Scott.
However, Scott’s sister and daughter claim that he was reading a book in his car, despite neither one of them being at the shooting scene.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney believes that the riotings are occurring based off of a false belief of overt police brutality.
“It’s time to change the narrative, because I can tell you from the facts that the story’s a little bit different as to how it’s been portrayed so far, especially through social media,” Putney said Wednesday during a news conference.
