Delbrück, September 22, 2016 - Via its subsidiary Voltabox, paragon AG [ISIN: DE0005558696] once again has its own stand at this year's IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover.

Guided by its slogan of "Driven by ideas," the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles - the world's most important trade show for transport, logistics and mobility - is being held in Hanover from September 22-29, 2016. One of this year's areas of focus is enhanced safety on the basis of electronics and sensor technology.

The Voltabox team is presenting its range of products and services - which has now been considerably expanded - for the third time and can be found on their own stand (E10) in hall

13. The paragon AG Electromobility division, which was set up in 2011, is represented by two wholly owned subsidiaries: Voltabox GmbH based in Delbrück (Westphalia) and Voltabox of Texas, Inc. in Austin, Texas (USA). The exceptionally safe, intelligent and powerful lithium-ion battery systems made by Voltabox are distributed around the world thanks to strategic agreements with global partners such as Joy Global, Inc., Triathlon Batterien GmbH and Vossloh Kiepe GmbH.

While the market for electromobility in commercial vehicles is still young, demand is growing all the time. The share of consolidated revenue at paragon AG attributable to this division, for example, increased threefold year-on-year in the first half of 2016.

With a core team that currently comprises more than 60 specialist developers, constructors, testing engineers and production experts in Delbrück and Austin, the division can draw on the long-established group experience of paragon AG in the development and industrial series production of electronic component groups for the automotive industry, such as sensors and control devices. The early decision to systematically gear the Electromobility division to the complex requirements of commercial vehicles has made the company one of the world's leading suppliers in the market niches concerned in a short space of time. With a lifetime order backlog of more than € 500 million, Voltabox already accounts for 46% of the cumulative orders on the books of the paragon Group.
