Namwamba's new political outfit, LPK, set for launch

Preparations are under way for the launch of the Labour Party of Kenya at Mamba Village in Karen.

This will be the political outfit Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba will use to further his political career.

Tents decorated with black and yellow colours have been erected. Delegates are streaming in one by one.

Mr Namwamba is expected to attend the event at 5pm before the party is launched at six.

The LPK has been touted as the "third force" among political outfits in the country alongside the two giants Jubilee and Cord, which seem to dominate the political sphere.
