ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan not to participate in an election rally in Taxila.

According to a notification by the returning officer, a parliamentarian cannot take part in an election campaign.

Imran Khan was expected to attend PTI candidate Umar Siddiq Khan’s rally on Friday.

Polling will be held at PP-7 on September 26. The seat was left vacant after the death of Siddiq Khan.
