New Delhi: India and New Zealand entered cricket's history books as they took the field to battle it out in the 1st Test in Kanpur.
The series opener is India's 500th Test and a special occasion for all those who have been part of this journey since 1932.
Ahead of the big day, the BCCI invested a lot of time and effort in making sure the occasion would be a special one.
All the former India captains were felicitated before the match started.
Though not all former Indian cricketers were fortunate enough to get a BCCI invite, they did talk about the 500th Test on social media.
While most players expressed their gratitude for having represented the country in some of those 500 Tests, Virender Sehwag marked the occasion in his own style.
