Man robbed of car near Ansal Plaza

GURGAON: A man was robbed of his car near Ansal Plaza in Palam Vihar area. An FIR in this regard has been registered against two unidentified robbers at Palam Vihar police station.
According to the police, the victim, Ravi Singh, a resident of Jhajjar district and working with Pasco Automobiles in Gurgaon, was attacked by two robbers outside Ansal Plaza late on Monday when he was waiting in his car for his friends, who had gone inside the mall.
Singh in his complaint told the police that two men approached him in his car near Ansal Plaza and enquired from him the direction for an address. As Singh rolled down the window of his car to direct them, one of the accused snatched his car keys and the other started thrashing him. After overpowering him, the accused pushed him out of the car and fled the spot.
The victim along with his friends reached the Palam Vihar police station and filed a complaint against the accused. Consequently an FIR was registered against the two accused under Section 379B (forcibly snatching) of the IPC.
“We are trying to procure CCTV footage of the area and investigating the case from all angles. The accused will be soon behind the bars,” said ASI Onkar Singh, the investigation officer.
