GANDHINAGAR: Twenty-three senior
IAS officers were transferred late on Tuesday night in yet another bureaucratic reshuffle after chief minister Vijay Rupani took charge on August 7.
The transfers saw municipal commissioners of four cities being transferred as well as a new face in the chief minister's office (CMO).
Ajay Bhadoo, who was the secretary to the CM, was shifted to the
Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) as vice-chairman and CEO.
Ashwani Kumar, a 1997 batch IAS officer, replaced
Bhadoo, who served for nearly two years.
Kumar was brought in from urban development department where he was serving as the secretary and commissioner of urban housing.
Also, D H Shah, a 2009 batch officer who was appointed as deputy municipal commissioner, Ahmedabad in August, was taken to the CMO as officer on special duty (OSD). Notably, at least three IAS officers were transferred barely a month after they had taken over their current posting.
