Fire breaks out at Banjar forest

KULLU: Fire broke out in large portion of a forest at Banjar in the district today.

Kullu, September 21

Fire broke out in large portion of a forest at Banjar in the district today.

Seraj DFO Saroj Bhai Patel said it was a surface fire and forest wealth was not damaged. He said the fire had spread in about 30 hectares due to burning of the dry grass and leaves and it was doused by the forest officials.

He said there was no report of any loss due to the fire.
